MK windsurfing off the coast of MoroccoAlrightee....Erica and I just got back from our Morocco vacation and I'm faced with 120 e-mails. Luckily I recorded a show before I left so you lucky things will be getting NYUB #22 very shortly. In the meantime, you're welcome to view some photos from Morocco. The place is stunning. I can't recommend it enough. Note the 'Jimmi Hendrix Castle' in Essouira. Thanks to everyone for the positive mails - I'll be getting in touch with you all very soon and hopefully later this month I'll be able to reveal some very exciting NYUB publicity in the press.

iTunes 4.9 Released
Get it...I can't stress how important this day is for those who create podcasts. Apple has finally integrated RSS functionality into the latest version of iTunes (4.9). It used to be quite a hassle to set up an automatic way of downloading your favourite podcasts, until now. So, download iTunes 4.9, then go to 'Advanced' and click on 'subscribe to Podcast'. Enter in my RSS feed - http://marenco.libsyn.com/rss - and presto, NYUB gets automatically loaded into iTunes for you!

Podcasting Marches On
It seems that mainstream radio is starting to feel the heat. Wired magazine reports that several mainstream US radio stations
have now switched their playlists to an 'iPod Style' format where a
listener can now hear 1000's of differents songs during a 1 week period
rather than the normal 25. Interesting concept but why not put some
effort into making your play lists interesting rather than just
randomising 1000 tracks of shit?
And in another development, Garageband.com announced a new online service which will allow users to mix their own podcasts using the vast amount of free music available from unsigned artists on it's network. NYUB.net is an official Garageband.com radio partner.
And finally, Steve Jobs announced that iTunes 4.9 will offer native RSS capabilities. This will mean that millions of iTunes users will now be able to subscribe to the podcast of their choice at the click of a button. This will be the tipping point. Oh yes.

We have a winner! D.Derek from Carmel, Indiana, USA was the first in
with the correct answer. It was Hall & Oates with 'Out of Touch'.
He's confessed to being a closet Hall & Oates fan and we hope that
his $10 iTunes voucher will be used for musical re-education.

Current estimates put the number of podcasts at about 5,000 so she’s got her work cut out. Nevertheless she’s managed to find NYUB and she’s written a very nice review. Bless!
