MK's getting married.....

101420-349247-thumbnail.jpg.....and his wedding's not going to be complete without some traditional trashy wedding songs. I'm contemplating a 1 hour set of the worst and trashiest wedding songs that are simply so bad, they always get played, whichever wedding you go to.

Give me some suggestions, people. I've got Phil Collins queued up but I need more. Leave a comment below or email me directly.

God so many to choose from, of course Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" makes any right minded person vomit. Anything by Westlife should have the same result.

Congrats, MK!
I've been to multiple weddings where the bride or groom requested The Police's "Every Breath You Take." Songs about stalking are always good at weddings. That horrible Sheryl Crow - Kid Rock song about thinking about you while lying next to her is always good for a laugh and eyeroll.

Alone by Heart. The ultimate, epic, wedding tear-popper. Even better when sung karaoke style by a guest with a hapless command of the English language.

Congratulations, MK.

Wild Thing - Tone Loc
Paradise By The Dashboard Light or I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Lich Snatch) - Meatloaf

I don't want to wait (Dawson's Creek theme) - Paula Cole;
I will always love you - Whitney Houston (her heartfelt lament to blow);
I do it for you - Bryan Adams (the Canadians will have to continue apologising for Bryan, I'm afraid);
You're the one that I want (or anything from Grease) - Olivia and Vinny Barbarino
You're the inspiration - Chicago
Islands in the stream - Dolly Parton ('A-ha' - the perfect solution when you still have music left but have run out of lyrics)
Careless Whisper - George Michael and that other guy...Scott Gillet I think.

Although not strictly a trashy wedding/love song (or 'song' for that matter), you'll probably want to throw Ice-ice Baby in there to uncover the sad bastards that still know all of the words. And perhaps a bit of Rolph Harris instrumentals for Nige to slam down some vocals to. I'd also like to request some White Snake.

The Corrs "What Can I do"

Bruce Springsteen "Human touch"
David Gray "Sail away"
Lou Reed "Perfect day"
PJ Harvey "Good fortune"
Sheryl Crow "Strong enough"

Black Rebel Motorpsyco "Love burns"

As the hour is getting late you might want to speed it up a bit;)

Detroit Cobras "Cha Cha twist"

The Darkness "I believe in a thing called love"
Big Bang "Wild bird"
The gogo's "we got the beet"

Surferosa "neon commando"

Best wishes from Norway! PS: For the "after pary" Turboneger's "Just Flesh" is a gem;)
