iTunes 4.9 Released

Get it...
Get it...
I can't stress how important this day is for those who create podcasts. Apple has finally integrated RSS functionality into the latest version of iTunes (4.9). It used to be quite a hassle to set up an automatic way of downloading your favourite podcasts, until now. So, download iTunes 4.9, then go to 'Advanced' and click on 'subscribe to Podcast'. Enter in my RSS feed - http://marenco.libsyn.com/rss - and presto, NYUB gets automatically loaded into iTunes for you!

Any idea what the blue dots next to some of the feeds are? It's showing up on 3 out 30 podcasts.

Erm, no idea. Are they the ones that were already preloaded into the iTunes music store i.e officially sanctioned by Apple?

I just tried getting listed with them... we'll see how they like podcasts that play "pirated" music!

You know, I think it's going to be REAL hard to get listed for a lot of podcasters. I think they're going to keep the numbers real tight, so that the Curry mob can maintain prominence (it's no coincidence that all the podshow.com shows are being featured at the moment).

As for my show getting listed on iTunes, nothing yet. I'm not holding my breath.

BTW, love your show!
