Aileen QuinnA drunken dinner conversation last weekend inevitably came to the topic of Art Garfunkel (don't they all eventually?) and a friend of mine mentioned that Art's son James is literally a mini-me version of the man himself. I had to check it out and yes, it seems so although there's uncanny similiarity to Aileen Quinn as well.
- Hot on the heels of the U.S & Canadian Blog Top 20 artist chart is the UK blog version. I was lucky enough to get polled for it and stupid enough to submit HAL in my top 10 who are Irish. Duh. Anyways, Girls aloud came out on top. Pffft. Bunch of ass, with the Go! Team second. The list was very NME-esque i.e band of the minute makes the top 10 with little likelihood of any durability (test icicles, arctic monkeys). Also very sad to see few electronic acts being mentioned. Never mind but thanks to Mike at take your medicine for at least giving this a go.
- The dedicated folk at ukbands.net are doing a 'live' band simulpodcast at various venues around the UK.
- The club Trash has launched a podcast along with Ricky Gervais doing one for the Guardian.
